    2. Is a NEW prebuilt structure less than 12' wide and 15' high. (15' total height includes height of strucutre on trailer)

    A Moving Permit is required if your project meets one of the following conditions: 

    1. a NEW prebuilt structure is brought to the property and is greater than 12' in width and 15' in height (15' height is loaded height when on moving trailer),
    2. or an existing structure of any size

    If your project does not meet one of the conditions above, you may need a different type of permit for your project.  Please contact the Planning Department for assistance at (712) 580-7200.

    Property owner is responsible for accuracy of property lines.  If you need assistance in locating your property lines, contact a land surveyor.

    I, by signature, acknowledge and agree to the conditions of this permit; will meet the provisions of the building, fire, electrical, plumbing, accessibility, and energy codes that may be applicable to the submitted project; and will follow the building & zoning regulations outlined in the Spencer City Code. I, hereby will defend, indemnify, protect, and hold harmless the City of Spencer and its employees from any and all liability from any claim or cause of action which any person may claim to have by reason of any actual or alleged failure on the part of the undersigned applicant to comply with the terms and provisions thereof. I, hereby certify that I have read and examined this application and its attachments and know the same to be complete, true, and correct. All provisions of laws and ordinances governing this type of work shall be complied with whether specified herein or not. I agree and will provide notification of any change prior to construction. The granting of this permit does not presume to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of any other state or local laws regulating construction or the performance of construction. The approved permit allows the construction of the building/structure as noted on this application and any submitted documentation. Any unauthorized change to approved permit and plans, or use of property, as presented will render this permit null and void.  

    Applicant Signature (If applicant is not the legal property owner, please save the PDF after signing, & submitting and have the property owner sign and return application to City Hall - Planning Department. This also can be done electronically and emailed to aharmon@spenceriowacity.com
